First the show: it is amazingly deprived of brains, cat with a plethora of dead-eyes, model-types and has all the attraction of... well the title says it all doesn't it? Now, really... Who would want to watch a show called "Gossip Girl".
The way CW is stubbornly trying to make a hit out of Gossip Girl in spite of the public's collective yawn reminds me of the way UPN (and then CW) tried to make a hit out of Veronica Mars.
In both cases, you had a really bad show that was extremely low-rated. A show that did not re-run well (another sign of a lack of public interest) and a show that for some reason, the brass at the Network wanted to be turned into a hit.
I've got news for you. CW doesn't have enough marketing power available to fool enough people, week after week, to make this even a mediocre performer.
